I have found results from10000+products and8000+suppliers aboutBlack foam wheel
Buyers should prioritize EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) or PU (Polyurethane) foam depending on the application. EVA is lightweight and cost-effective for toys and light garden tools, while High-Density PU foam offers superior puncture resistance and load-bearing capacity for industrial trolleys. Ensure the shore hardness (typically 50-70 Shore A) matches your specific stability requirements.
Always request the Static Load and Dynamic Load ratings. For heavy-duty use, look for wheels with reinforced PP (Polypropylene) or steel hubs. A high-quality black foam wheel should undergo a compression set test to ensure it doesn't develop 'flat spots' after prolonged stationary loading. For outdoor use, verify UV resistance to prevent the foam from crumbling or discoloring.
For the US market, ensure the chemical composition complies with California Proposition 65 regarding phthalates and lead. For the EU, REACH and RoHS certifications are essential to confirm the absence of hazardous substances in the black pigment and foam blowing agents. If the wheels are for children's products, EN71 or ASTM F963 compliance is non-negotiable.
Specify the bore diameter (e.g., 12mm, 20mm) and hub length to ensure compatibility with your equipment. Decide between plain bores for low-speed use or ball bearings/roller bearings for reduced rolling resistance in professional equipment. Double-shielded bearings are recommended to prevent dust and debris from shortening the wheel's lifespan.
Request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) focusing on density consistency and odur levels. Low-quality foam often emits a strong chemical smell indicating poor curing. Utilize Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after the goods pass quality verification.
Foam wheels are volume-heavy; therefore, unit prices are highly sensitive to raw material costs (oil prices). Negotiate a tiered pricing structure where the price drops by 5-10% for full container loads (FCL). For initial trials, seek suppliers on Made-in-China.com who offer flexible MOQs (e.g., 100-500 units) to validate market fit before scaling.
Since foam wheels are 'light cargo,' shipping costs are often calculated by volumetric weight. To optimize costs, ask the supplier to nest the wheels or use vacuum packaging if the foam density allows for recovery. Ensure the Incoterms are clearly defined; FOB (Free On Board) is generally preferred for buyers who have their own freight forwarders to manage sea freight costs.
Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com, as these companies have undergone third-party verification of their facilities and business licenses. Always conduct transactions through the platform's official payment channels to benefit from buyer protection programs and dispute resolution services.
