150mm swivel caster wheel manufacturers

When sourcing 150mm swivel casters, the most critical factor is the Load Capacity. Ensure the rated load per wheel accounts for a safety factor (Total Weight / 3, not 4, to allow for uneven floors). Material choice is equally vital: Polyurethane (PU) on Iron offers high load bearing and floor protection, while Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) is ideal for noise reduction in hospitals or offices. Additionally, verify the Swivel Radius and the presence of Double Ball Race bearings to ensure smooth 360-degree rotation under heavy loads.

For international trade, prioritize suppliers who comply with ISO 9001:2015 for quality management. If exporting to Europe, ensure the materials meet REACH and RoHS standards to avoid hazardous substances. For industrial applications, look for testing reports aligned with EN 12532 (casters for industrial applications) or ANSI/ICWM standards, which validate durability, impact resistance, and brake effectiveness.

In corrosive or humid environments (like food processing or chemical plants), specify 304 Stainless Steel housing to prevent rust. For general warehousing, Zinc-plated Steel is cost-effective. Regarding safety, choose between a Top Brake (locks wheel only) or a Total Lock Brake (locks both wheel and swivel rotation), the latter being essential for mobile workbenches or equipment used on inclined surfaces.

To ensure a long service life, casters should feature integrated grease nipples (Zerk fittings) for easy lubrication of the swivel head and axle. Regular maintenance involves checking for flat spots on the tread and ensuring the kingpin nut is tightened. For high-frequency use, sourcing wheels with sealed precision ball bearings is recommended to prevent dust and debris ingress, reducing the need for frequent manual cleaning.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency. Specifically, ask for a Dynamic Load Test and a Salt Spray Test (minimum 24-48 hours) to verify the anti-corrosion properties of the plating. Using Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services can provide an extra layer of protection, ensuring payment is only released upon confirmation of product quality.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on annual volume rather than a single order. Ask for OEM/ODM customization options, such as custom mounting plate sizes or branded dust caps, which add value to your inventory. Negotiate for a 1-2% spare parts allowance (extra bearings or axles) to be included in bulk shipments to handle minor maintenance issues without needing new imports.

150mm casters are heavy and dense; therefore, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical method. Ensure the supplier uses fumigated wooden pallets and reinforced corrugated cartons with plastic strapping. To prevent shifting during transit, which can damage the swivel mechanisms, specify that boxes must be shrink-wrapped and palletized with edge protectors.

Verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification on the Made-in-China.com platform. Ensure the Harmonized System (HS) Code (typically 8302.20 for casters) is correctly declared on the Commercial Invoice to avoid customs delays or incorrect duty applications. Always use Incoterms 2020 (such as FOB or CIF) to clearly define the point where risk and cost transfer from the seller to the buyer.
