Wholesale piezo igniter manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize output voltage (typically 15kV to 20kV) to ensure a strong enough spark for gas ignition. The durability rating, measured in click cycles, should ideally exceed 10,000 to 30,000 strikes for standard consumer goods. Additionally, verify the lead wire length and insulation material (such as silicone or Teflon) to ensure it can withstand the operating temperatures of the specific appliance.

For the US market, components should ideally meet CSA or UL standards for gas appliances. In the EU, CE marking and RoHS compliance are essential to ensure the product is free from hazardous substances. If the igniter is intended for high-end kitchenware, check for ISO 9001 certification of the manufacturing facility to guarantee process consistency.

For outdoor grills and camping stoves, look for igniters with moisture-resistant housing and rugged push-button designs. For indoor gas heaters or ovens, focus on high-temperature resistance of the ceramic insulator and the stability of the mounting bracket to prevent misalignment over time.

The unit price is highly sensitive to volume, with significant price breaks typically occurring at 5,000+ units. Buyers should also consider the integration cost; sourcing igniters with pre-installed brackets or specific terminal connectors can reduce assembly labor costs, providing better Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) even if the unit price is slightly higher.

The primary risk is functional failure due to poor crystal quality, which leads to weak sparks. Another risk is shipping damage; because the ceramic elements are brittle, they require specialized anti-shock packaging. Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to verify the spark success rate across a random sample.

Start by requesting a sample test report to verify technical specs. Negotiate based on staged payment terms (e.g., 30% deposit, 70% after inspection but before shipment). For long-term partnerships, ask for customized wire lengths or button colors at no extra cost, which adds value to your final product without increasing the base price.

Piezo igniters are generally not classified as dangerous goods, but their high-voltage potential (even if static) can sometimes trigger concerns during air freight security scans. Ensure the supplier provides a Non-Dangerous Goods Declaration. For sea freight to the US or Europe, use palletized shipping to minimize manual handling and breakage of the ceramic components.

Utilize the Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. Ensure all technical requirements, including spark gap distance and wire gauge, are clearly documented in the Proforma Invoice (PI) or purchase contract to provide legal recourse in case of quality disputes.
