Wholesale flower tea manufacturers

When sourcing flower tea, prioritize visual integrity, aroma, and infusion clarity. High-quality flowers should be whole and unbroken, retaining their natural vibrant color without signs of browning or artificial dyes. The aroma must be distinct and fresh, not musty. For specific varieties like Jasmine, ensure the scenting process (number of times fresh flowers are layered with tea leaves) is documented, as triple-scented or higher grades offer superior longevity in flavor.

As a food product, flower tea must meet strict safety standards. Ensure the supplier provides Pesticide Residue Test Reports (meeting EU MRLs or US EPA standards). Key certifications include ISO 22000 or HACCP for food safety management, and Phytosanitary Certificates issued by the exporting country's customs. If marketing as organic, verify USDA Organic or EU Organic certifications to ensure no synthetic fertilizers were used during cultivation.

The ideal moisture content for dried flower tea should be between 3% and 7%. Anything higher increases the risk of mold growth and oxidation, significantly shortening shelf life. For B2B buyers, it is critical to confirm that the supplier uses vacuum-sealed aluminum foil bags or moisture-proof tin canisters for bulk packaging to maintain freshness during long-distance maritime transit.

Sourcing should align with market demand: Rose tea is popular in the beauty and wellness sector for its antioxidants; Chrysanthemum is sought after in Asian markets for its 'cooling' properties; and Butterfly Pea Flower is trending in the beverage industry as a natural pH-sensitive colorant. Understanding these functional properties allows buyers to target specific niches like spas, high-end cafes, or herbal supplement manufacturers.

Request a pre-shipment sample from the actual production batch and have it tested by a third-party lab (like SGS or Intertek). Do not rely solely on the supplier's internal reports. In the contract, include a quality discrepancy clause stating that the batch must match the sample's chemical profile, or the buyer is entitled to a full refund or replacement.

Flower tea prices fluctuate based on harvest seasons. Negotiate for 'New Crop' pricing and consider placing larger orders during peak harvest (e.g., Spring for Jasmine) to secure lower rates. For new brands, look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com who offer flexible MOQs (e.g., 10-50kg) for trial orders, allowing you to test market response before committing to ton-level shipments.

Dried flowers are highly fragile and susceptible to crushing. Insist on double-walled corrugated export cartons and the use of pallets to prevent rough handling. For high-value floral teas, consider Air Freight to minimize the time spent in humid shipping containers, or ensure desiccants (silica gel packs) are included in every bulk bag if using Sea Freight.
