Super king size beds manufacturers

Standard Super King dimensions typically measure 6 feet wide by 6 feet 6 inches long (180cm x 200cm), though regional variations exist (e.g., US vs. UK standards). For B2B procurement, ensure the frame uses kiln-dried solid wood or reinforced steel to prevent warping. The slat system should feature multi-layered birch or poplar wood with a spacing of no more than 2.5 inches to provide adequate mattress support and prevent sagging.

For the US market, beds must comply with 16 CFR Part 1633 (flammability standards for mattresses/foundations). For the EU and UK, adherence to BS 7177 (fire safety) and EN 1725 (mechanical safety requirements) is essential. Additionally, ensure all upholstery fabrics are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified to guarantee the absence of harmful substances, and wood components should ideally be FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified for sustainability.

A high-quality Super King bed should have a static load capacity of at least 400-500kg. Request static load test reports and cyclic durability test results from the supplier. Pay close attention to the center support rail and adjustable support legs; these are critical for preventing mid-frame collapse in oversized beds. For upholstered models, verify a Martindale rub count of ≥30,000 for commercial-grade durability.

Modern buyers prioritize integrated storage solutions, such as hydraulic gas-lift mechanisms or modular under-bed drawers. Tech-integrated headboards featuring built-in USB-C charging ports, LED ambient lighting, and adjustable headrest angles are also in high demand. For the hospitality sector, split-frame designs are preferred to facilitate easier transport and installation in tight spaces.

The main risks include high volumetric weight charges and transit damage. To mitigate this, insist on KD (Knock-Down) packaging with reinforced edge protectors and 5-layer corrugated export cartons. Ensure the supplier provides a detailed packing list and uses moisture-absorbent silica gel packs inside the packaging to prevent mold during long-term sea freight.

Always utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. When negotiating, request a Proforma Invoice (PI) that clearly outlines the material specifications, lead times, and warranty terms (minimum 2-5 years). Before final payment, hire a third-party inspection service (like SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to verify that the bulk production matches the approved sample.

Compare FOB (Free On Board) and CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) terms; FOB is generally recommended for experienced buyers to maintain control over shipping lines and costs. Check the HS Code (typically 9403.50 for wooden bedroom furniture) against your country's tariff schedule to anticipate anti-dumping duties, which can be significant for furniture exports from certain regions to the US or EU.
