Quad bike motorcycle manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize Engine Displacement (CC) and Cooling Systems. For utility tasks, 400cc to 700cc liquid-cooled engines are standard, while 50cc to 150cc air-cooled engines suffice for youth or recreational markets. Ensure the Transmission Type (CVT vs. Manual) aligns with your target user's skill level. Additionally, verify the Suspension Travel and Chassis Material, prioritizing high-strength alloy steel frames with independent double A-arm suspension for durability in rugged terrains.

Compliance is critical to avoid customs seizures. For the US market, vehicles must meet EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) emission standards and CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) safety requirements. For the European market, CE Marking and e-Mark certification (specifically Regulation EU 168/2013 for L-category vehicles) are mandatory. Always request COC (Certificate of Conformity) and ISO 9001 manufacturing credentials from the supplier.

Focus on the Braking System; look for hydraulic disc brakes on both front and rear wheels for superior stopping power. Inspect the Tire Grade, ensuring they are 4-ply or 6-ply rated for puncture resistance. Safety features such as speed limiters, emergency kill switches, and LED lighting systems for visibility are essential. Request a video of a stress test or a third-party inspection report focusing on weld integrity and electrical waterproofing (IP67 rating).

Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com typically offer customized fairing colors, decal branding, and performance upgrades like EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) systems. For specialized use, inquire about winch attachments, heavy-duty racks, and tow hitches. Ensure the supplier can provide SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) or CKD (Completely Knocked Down) packaging to optimize shipping costs and local assembly tax benefits.

The biggest risks are Quality Inconsistency and Non-compliance with local road laws. Mitigate this by using Trade Assurance services and hiring third-party inspectors (like SGS or Intertek) to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Ensure the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is correctly formatted for your country's registration system to avoid the vehicle being classified as 'off-road only' if you intend for it to be street-legal.

Negotiate based on Container Load (FCL) rather than unit count; a 20GP or 40HQ container significantly reduces the per-unit shipping cost. Ask for a tiered pricing structure where the price drops by 5-10% when moving from a sample order to a full container. Request that the supplier includes a 1-2% wear-and-tear spare parts kit (filters, spark plugs, belts) free of charge within the bulk order price.

Quad bikes are classified as Dangerous Goods (UN3166) due to engines and batteries. Ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Dangerous Goods Declaration. Most buyers prefer Sea Freight (FOB or CIF). Ensure the vehicles are secured in iron-framed crates within the container to prevent shifting and damage during transit. Verify that the battery is disconnected and the fuel tank is empty and purged before loading.

Always conduct transactions through secure payment channels provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Use a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment against the Bill of Lading (B/L) structure. For new suppliers, verify their Audit Reports and 'Gold Member' status to ensure they have a verified physical factory and a clean business track record.
