Pp leno mesh bags manufacturers

When evaluating PP (Polypropylene) Leno mesh bags, you must focus on Gram Weight (GSM) and Mesh Density. A higher GSM typically indicates better tensile strength and durability for heavy produce like potatoes or onions. Ensure the UV stabilization additive is included if the bags will be exposed to sunlight, as PP degrades quickly under UV rays. Additionally, verify the sealing method (L-sewn or circular) to ensure it matches your automated packing machinery requirements.

Since these bags are primarily used for agricultural produce, they must be Food Grade. Request documentation proving compliance with FDA (US) or EC 1935/2004 (EU) regulations. Ensure the dyes and pigments used for coloring (e.g., red for onions, orange for citrus) are non-toxic and lead-free. Suppliers with ISO 22000 or BRCGS certifications are preferred for high-standard food packaging.

The primary function of a Leno bag is breathability. Ensure the mesh size allows for maximum airflow to prevent moisture buildup and fungal growth. For retail-ready products, look for bags with a printed brand label (band) heat-sealed to the center, which provides space for barcodes and branding without compromising the ventilation properties of the mesh.

Standard sizes like 50x80cm (25kg-30kg capacity) or 40x60cm (10kg capacity) are the most cost-effective due to mass production. Custom colors or sizes usually require a higher Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), often starting at 50,000 to 100,000 pieces. To reduce costs, consider bulk bale packing (2000-3000 pcs per bale) to maximize container space and lower the landed cost per unit.

The most significant risk is weight variance; some suppliers may reduce the GSM to lower costs, leading to bags bursting during transport. Always specify the weight per bag in grams in the contract. Another risk is color bleeding, where poor quality dyes stain the produce. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure that payment is only released after a third-party pre-shipment inspection confirms the specifications.

Negotiate based on raw material price indices. PP resin prices fluctuate; professional buyers often link contract prices to the current market price of Polypropylene. Ask for tiered pricing based on container volumes (e.g., 20GP vs 40HQ). For long-term partnerships, request a 1-2% overage (extra bags) free of charge to account for potential machine-damaged units during your packing process.

PP mesh bags are lightweight but bulky. To optimize shipping, ensure the supplier uses high-pressure hydraulic baling presses to compress the bags. This can increase container capacity by up to 20%. When shipping to humid climates, ensure the container has desiccants to prevent 'container rain,' which can cause the drawstring (if made of cotton/paper) to rot or the PP to develop a musty odor.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site inspections by independent bodies like SGS or Intertek. Check their Export Experience—suppliers familiar with your specific country's customs requirements (like ISPM 15 for wooden pallets if used) will reduce the risk of clearance delays. Review their Transaction History to ensure they have the capacity to handle large-scale industrial orders.
