Latex hand glove manufacturers

Buyers must evaluate tensile strength (measured in MPa) and elongation at break (%) to ensure durability. For medical use, ensure a minimum thickness of 0.08mm to 0.11mm at the palm and fingers. For industrial applications, look for textured fingertips to enhance grip in wet or oily conditions. Additionally, confirm the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level); a rating of 1.5 or lower is standard for medical grade, while 2.5 to 4.0 is acceptable for general industrial or food service use.

For the US market, products must be FDA 510(k) cleared and meet ASTM D3578 standards. For the EU, look for CE Marking and compliance with EN 455 (Medical) or EN 374 (Chemical protection). If sourcing for food handling, verify HACCP certification and compliance with FDA CFR 21 177.2600. Always request ISO 13485 certification from the manufacturer to guarantee a professional medical device quality management system.

Powder-free gloves are now the industry standard due to the reduced risk of latex allergies and respiratory irritation; they undergo a chlorination process or polymer coating to make them easy to don. While powdered gloves (using cornstarch) are generally cheaper, they are banned in many medical jurisdictions. For long-term sourcing stability, prioritize powder-free options to meet global regulatory trends.

Latex contains natural proteins that can cause Type I allergies. High-quality suppliers use extensive leaching processes to reduce protein levels. You should request lab reports showing extractable protein levels below 50 µg/dm². For sensitive markets, consider sourcing 'Low Protein' labeled products and ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) for every batch.

The primary risks include quality degradation due to improper storage and counterfeit certifications. Latex is sensitive to heat and UV light, which causes brittleness. Ensure your contract specifies cool, dry container conditions and use third-party inspections (like SGS or Intertek) to verify the goods before final payment. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers to ensure the factory's physical existence and production capacity.

Latex prices fluctuate with raw rubber commodity markets. Negotiate a formula-based pricing model linked to rubber market indices for long-term contracts. For MOQs, standard factories usually require 500 to 1,000 cartons (100pcs/box). To get better rates, offer a rolling forecast of your needs, which allows the supplier to optimize production schedules and offer volume discounts of 5-10%.

Latex gloves are relatively lightweight but bulky. To optimize freight costs, use vacuum packaging if possible, or ensure the outer cartons are double-walled corrugated fiberboard to prevent crushing during sea freight. When shipping to the US or Europe, ensure the HS Code (typically 4015.19) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays or incorrect duty applications.
