Custom electric toothbrush manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize vibration frequency, typically ranging from 31,000 to 48,000 strokes per minute for sonic models. Ensure the motor is a brushless magnetic levitation motor for lower noise and longer lifespan. Battery capacity should be at least 800mAh to 1200mAh, providing 30-60 days of use on a single charge via USB-C or wireless inductive charging. Additionally, the waterproof rating must be IPX7 to allow for safe use in the shower and easy cleaning.

Request the use of DuPont Tynex or Pedex bristles. It is essential to verify the end-rounding rate of the bristles; high-quality brushes should have an end-rounding rate of >80% to prevent gingival damage. You should also ask for FDA, CE, and RoHS certifications to ensure the materials are BPA-free and safe for long-term oral contact.

Suppliers on Made-in-China.com usually offer private labeling (logo printing), custom Pantone colors for the handle, and bespoke packaging design. Advanced customization includes customized vibration modes (e.g., sensitive, whitening, gum care) and PCBA programming for specific timer intervals (e.g., 2-minute auto-stop and 30-second zone reminders).

For the US market, the product must be FDA registered and comply with FCC for electronic emissions. For the EU market, CE marking is mandatory, along with RoHS for hazardous substances and REACH for chemical safety. If the product includes a battery, a UN38.3 test report and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) are required for international shipping.

Electric toothbrushes contain lithium batteries, which are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods. Ensure the supplier provides a UN38.3 certificate and a Safe Transport of Goods report. Use specialized forwarders experienced in battery-inclusive electronics to avoid customs seizures or shipping delays. For large volumes, sea freight (DG containers) is more cost-effective, while air express requires strict compliance with IATA regulations.

Start by requesting a sample order to verify build quality before discussing bulk pricing. Negotiate based on tiered pricing; for example, a 15-20% discount is often achievable when moving from a 500-unit MOQ to 5,000 units. Request a 20/80 or 30/70 payment term (deposit/balance) and insist on a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek to ensure the final product matches the approved sample.

Before sharing proprietary designs or software code for PCBA, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). When sourcing via Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have verified manufacturing capabilities. Ensure your trademark is registered in both the sourcing country and the destination country to prevent 'brand squatting' or counterfeit production.

Since returning individual defective units internationally is cost-prohibitive, negotiate a defective rate allowance (usually 1-2%) where the supplier provides extra units or spare parts (brush heads, charging cables) free of charge with the bulk shipment. For major quality failures, ensure the contract includes a refund clause or credit toward the next order based on a verified inspection report.
