When sourcing BYD vehicles, focus on the Blade Battery technology, which offers superior safety and energy density. Evaluate the NEDC or WLTP range to ensure it meets local market expectations. Check the motor power (kW) and torque, as well as the charging compatibility (e.g., Type 2 or CCS2) to ensure the vehicle can use local charging infrastructure without expensive adapters.

Compliance is critical for vehicle registration. You must verify if the specific model has WVTA (Whole Vehicle Type Approval) for Europe or meets DOT/EPA standards for the US. Ensure the supplier provides COC (Certificate of Conformity) and that the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) format is recognized by your local transport authority. Additionally, confirm the infotainment system language and GPS maps can be localized.

The 'Car Byd Price' is influenced by order volume (MOQ), the battery capacity (kWh), and the trim level (e.g., Standard vs. Flagship). Prices also fluctuate based on government subsidies in the country of origin and exchange rate volatility. For B2B buyers, sourcing inventory vehicles (stock) usually results in a lower price compared to custom factory orders, though options may be limited.

Since you are importing, verify if the manufacturer's warranty is valid internationally or if the supplier offers a third-party warranty insurance. Ensure you have access to diagnostic software and a steady supply of genuine spare parts (especially high-wear items like brake pads and specialized body panels). It is recommended to establish a relationship with a local service center capable of handling high-voltage systems.

The biggest risks include export license complications and shipping damage. Ensure the supplier has a valid Export License for Used/New Energy Vehicles. To mitigate physical risk, mandate Marine Insurance that covers 'All Risks' and request pre-shipment inspections (PSI) by agencies like SGS to verify the vehicle condition and battery health before it leaves the port.

Focus on Total Landed Cost rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for spare parts kits to be included in the container. Ask for tiered pricing based on annual volume commitments. If you are a long-term partner, negotiate for exclusive distribution rights in your specific region to protect your investment from local competition.

EVs are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods due to their lithium batteries. You must use carriers experienced in Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) or containerized shipping with specialized lashing. Ensure the battery charge level is kept between 20% and 50% during transit to maintain battery health and comply with international maritime safety regulations.

For high-value transactions, always use Secured Payment services or Letters of Credit (L/C) to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment (Bill of Lading). Avoid direct wire transfers to unverified personal accounts. Conduct due diligence on the supplier’s business license and check their transaction history on Made-in-China.com to confirm their status as an audited supplier.
