Bathroom shower drain factory manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Grade 304 or 316 Stainless Steel for superior corrosion resistance against household chemicals and moisture. For high-end projects, ensure the material thickness is at least 1.2mm to 1.5mm to prevent warping under thermal stress. If opting for plastic components, verify the use of high-density ABS or PVC with UV stabilizers to prevent brittleness over time.

Look for drains equipped with a removable hair strainer/filter to prevent clogging and a deep-water seal or gravity-flap anti-odor core to block sewer gases and pests. For linear drains, a sloped internal channel design is essential to ensure rapid water flow and prevent stagnant water buildup, which can lead to bacterial growth.

For the North American market, products must adhere to CUPC and ASME A112.18.2/CSA B125.2 standards. European buyers should look for EN 1253 compliance and CE marking. Ensuring the factory holds ISO 9001:2015 certification is also vital to guarantee consistent manufacturing processes and quality control across large batches.

It is crucial to confirm that the drain flange is compatible with modern waterproofing systems such as liquid membranes or fabric sheets (e.g., Schluter-Kerdi). Request technical drawings to ensure the flange width and bonding surface meet the requirements of professional tiling standards to prevent costly leaks in multi-story buildings.

Request a Material Test Report (MTR) or a third-party chemical analysis (such as an XRF test) before the final payment. You can also hire an inspection service to perform a salt spray test (minimum 24-48 hours) on production samples to verify rust resistance levels.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for customized packaging (retail-ready) and the inclusion of spare parts (like extra gaskets or lifting hooks) at no additional cost. For long-term partnerships, request a price-lock agreement for 6-12 months to hedge against fluctuations in raw stainless steel prices.

Shower drains are heavy and dense; therefore, sea freight is the most economical option for bulk orders. Ensure the factory uses reinforced 5-layer corrugated cartons and palletization to prevent box crushing during transit. For smaller trial orders, check if the supplier has a presence on Made-in-China.com to utilize their secure trading and logistics support.

Always use secure payment methods that offer buyer protection. Conduct a factory audit (either virtual or via a third-party agency) to confirm the supplier is a genuine manufacturer and not a trading company. Verify their export license and check their transaction history and 'Diamond' or 'Gold' status on Made-in-China.com to assess their reliability.
