Animal weighing scale manufacturers

When sourcing animal scales, prioritize high-precision load cells with an accuracy class of OIML C3 or higher. For livestock, the scale must feature a 'Dynamic Weighing' or 'Animal Mode' function, which uses specialized algorithms to calculate an accurate weight even if the animal is moving. Ensure the platform is made of heavy-duty carbon steel or stainless steel with a non-slip checkered plate surface to prevent animal injury and ensure structural durability under heavy loads.

For international trade, ensure the product complies with CE marking for electronic safety and RoHS for hazardous substance restriction. If the scale is used for commercial trade (legal-for-trade), it must have NTEP (US) or OIML (EU) certification. Additionally, look for an IP67 or IP68 waterproof rating for the indicator and load cells, as animal scales require frequent cleaning and disinfection with high-pressure water.

For small animals (pets/vets), a low-profile bench scale with a stainless steel tray is sufficient. However, for large livestock like cattle or pigs, you must source scales with integrated cages or crates featuring double-ended gates for efficient throughput. For mobile farm use, prioritize scales with rechargeable batteries (providing 40+ hours of operation) and integrated wheels or pallet jack compatibility for easy transport between pens.

Professional buyers should look for indicators that support RS232, USB, or Bluetooth connectivity to export data to farm management software. Advanced models should offer RFID tag reader integration, allowing the scale to automatically record the weight against the specific animal's ID, which is critical for traceability and growth monitoring in large-scale operations.

Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party to verify calibration accuracy using standard weights. Since scales are sensitive instruments, insist on reinforced wooden crate packaging rather than standard cartons to prevent load cell distortion during sea freight. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize 'Audited Suppliers' who provide factory inspection reports covering their testing equipment.

Focus negotiations on the warranty period and spare parts availability. Ask for a 2-year warranty on load cells and indicators, and negotiate for a 1-2% inclusion of free spare parts (such as signal cables and leveling feet) with bulk orders. For orders exceeding 20 units, aim for a 10-15% volume discount off the sample price.

Animal scales are bulky; therefore, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical method. Ensure the supplier provides the correct HS Code (typically 842382) to avoid tariff misclassification. Be aware that batteries in the indicators are classified as sensitive goods; ensure the supplier provides a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and a UN38.3 report to prevent customs delays or airline rejections.

Utilize Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure payments are only released after the goods have been shipped and verified. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; always use corporate bank accounts that match the supplier's registered business name to prevent fraud.
