400w led flood light manufacturers

When sourcing high-power flood lights, prioritize Luminous Efficacy, which should be at least 130-150 lm/W to ensure energy efficiency. Verify the Driver Brand (e.g., MeanWell, Inventronics, or Sosen) as the driver is the most common point of failure. Additionally, check the Heat Sink Design; for a 400W unit, die-cast aluminum with a large surface area is essential to maintain a junction temperature below 75°C for longevity.

For the US market, ensure the product is UL or ETL listed and carries DLC (DesignLights Consortium) qualification for utility rebates. For the European market, CE, RoHS, and TUV certifications are mandatory. If the lights are for outdoor use, an IP66 or IP67 waterproof rating and an IK08 impact resistance rating are critical to withstand harsh weather and physical stress.

The choice depends on the application: for large area lighting (stadiums, parking lots), a 60° to 90° beam angle is standard, while asymmetric optics are better for reducing glare. For Color Temperature, 5000K-5700K (Cool White) is preferred for security and sports to enhance visibility, whereas 3000K-4000K (Warm/Neutral) is used for architectural or landscape aesthetics.

A high-quality 400W LED flood light should have a rated lifespan of L70 > 50,000 hours. Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com typically offer a 5-year functional warranty. Be wary of suppliers offering only 2 years, as this often indicates the use of lower-grade LED chips (e.g., non-branded) or inefficient thermal management.

Request an IES Test Report and an Integrating Sphere Test Report from the supplier before shipping. These documents prove the actual lumen output and power consumption. For large orders, hire a third-party inspection service (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a 'Random Sampling Test' at the factory to verify that the actual wattage matches the 400W label.

Focus on the Bill of Materials (BOM) rather than just the final price. Ask for a breakdown of the LED chip brand (e.g., Lumileds, Osram, Bridgelux) and the driver model. If you are buying in bulk (e.g., >100 units), you can typically negotiate a 5-10% discount or request free spare parts (drivers or surge protectors), which are valuable for long-term maintenance.

A 400W flood light is heavy due to the heat sink. Ensure the supplier uses reinforced 5-layer corrugated cartons with molded foam (EPS/EPE) inserts to prevent glass breakage or bracket bending during sea freight. For large quantities, specify palletized shipping to minimize manual handling risks at transit ports.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is held in escrow until the goods are shipped. Always verify if the supplier is an 'Audited Supplier', which indicates their business license and factory capabilities have been physically verified by independent inspectors.
