Wholesale solar lawn light manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Lumen output (brightness), typically ranging from 10 to 200 lumens depending on the application. The Solar Panel Type is critical; Monocrystalline silicon panels offer higher conversion efficiency (17-22%) compared to polycrystalline. Ensure the Battery Capacity (measured in mAh) is sufficient to power the LED for at least 8-12 hours after a full charge. Additionally, check the IP Rating, where IP65 or higher is mandatory for outdoor durability against rain and dust.

For the US market, ensure products are UL or ETL listed and comply with FCC Part 15 for electromagnetic interference. For the EU, CE marking (LVD and EMC directives) and RoHS compliance (restriction of hazardous substances) are mandatory. Since these products contain batteries, a UN38.3 Test Report and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) are essential for legal and safe international transportation.

Request the LM-80 test report for the LED chips to verify color stability and lumen maintenance over time. For the housing, die-cast aluminum or UV-resistant ABS plastic is preferred to prevent fading and brittleness under prolonged sun exposure. Ask the supplier for Salt Spray Test results if the lights will be installed in coastal areas to ensure corrosion resistance.

Look for lights with Intelligent Light Control (auto on/off at dusk/dawn) and PIR Motion Sensors to extend battery life. CCT Switchable features (allowing users to choose between 3000K warm white and 6000K cool white) and Modular Designs that allow for easy battery replacement can significantly increase the product's marketability and lifecycle.

Solar lights contain Lithium or Ni-MH batteries, which are classified as Dangerous Goods (DG) in air freight. This leads to higher shipping costs and stricter documentation requirements. To mitigate risk, ensure your supplier provides proper DG packaging and consider Sea Freight (LCL/FCL) for bulk orders to reduce costs, while ensuring the vessel carrier accepts battery-operated items.

Always use the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payments until the goods are received and inspected. When negotiating, request a Proforma Invoice (PI) that clearly states the Gold Thread/LED Brand, Battery Cycle Life, and Warranty Terms (typically 2-5 years). Avoid paying 100% upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is recommended.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone third-party verification by agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Request a Video Audit of the production line and the Integrating Sphere testing room to see how they measure luminous flux. Check if the supplier has experience with OEM/ODM for reputable brands, which indicates a higher level of quality control.

Be aware of Anti-dumping duties or specific Green Energy subsidies in your country. For example, US buyers should check Section 301 tariffs on Chinese electronics. Always calculate the Landed Cost, including Customs Duties, VAT, and Port Handling Fees, rather than just the FOB price, to ensure your retail margins remain profitable.
