Water packaging film manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Multi-layer Co-extrusion PE (Polyethylene) or PET/PE laminates to ensure high puncture resistance and leak prevention. For sachet water, the film thickness typically ranges from 40 to 80 microns. It is critical to verify that the material is 100% Virgin Food Grade and free from recycled contaminants to maintain water purity.

The film must adhere to FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) or EU Food Contact Regulations (EC No 1935/2004). Ensure the supplier provides Migration Testing Reports to prove that chemicals from the plastic or ink do not leach into the water. For specific markets, ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management) or HACCP certifications are highly recommended.

Utilizing Rotogravure printing ensures high-resolution branding, but buyers must insist on Non-Benzene and Non-Ketone inks. These eco-friendly inks prevent odor transfer and toxic migration. Additionally, check for surface tension (dyne level); a level of ≥38 dyne/cm is necessary to ensure the ink adheres properly and does not peel during the high-speed sealing process.

The Coefficient of Friction (COF) is vital; a COF between 0.2 and 0.3 is ideal for smooth running on Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) machines. Furthermore, the film should have a wide sealing temperature window to accommodate fluctuations in machine heat without causing 'burn-through' or weak seams.

Request a pre-shipment sample from the actual production run. Conduct a boil test or a sensory test to ensure no plastic odor is emitted. For bulk orders, use third-party inspection services like SGS or Intertek to verify the micron thickness consistency across the entire roll, as variations can lead to massive wastage on your production line.

Focus on Total Linear Meters rather than just weight, as some suppliers may increase thickness to add weight while reducing the actual number of bags you can produce. Negotiate for free printing plate (cylinder) costs if the order exceeds a certain volume (usually 500kg - 1 ton). Always confirm if the quoted price includes seaworthy pallet packaging to prevent roll deformation during transit.

Plastic film is sensitive to extreme heat and humidity, which can cause 'blocking' (layers sticking together). Ensure the shipping container is stored below deck and that rolls are wrapped in moisture-proof aluminum foil or PE stretch film. Specify that rolls must be shipped on fumigated pallets with edge protectors to prevent damage to the roll ends, which would render them unusable for automatic machines.

Utilize Secured Trading Services on Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon proof of shipment. Align your purchase with International Trade Terms (Incoterms 2020); for first-time buyers, CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) is often easier, but FOB (Free On Board) offers better control over shipping costs if you have a reliable freight forwarder.
