Tie rod washer plate manufacturers

For structural and formwork applications, you must prioritize High-Strength Carbon Steel (e.g., Q235 or Q345) or Ductile Iron (QT450-10). Ensure the material undergoes heat treatment to achieve the necessary hardness and tensile strength. For corrosive environments, specify Hot-Dip Galvanizing (HDG) with a coating thickness of at least 55-85μm to prevent rust and ensure long-term structural integrity.

Request Mill Test Certificates (MTC) and third-party lab reports verifying compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and international construction standards like EN 1090 or ASTM A36. The plates should be tested for Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) and Yield Strength. For formwork systems, ensure the washer plate is compatible with the safe working load (SWL) of the corresponding tie rods (typically 15mm/17mm or 20mm/22mm systems).

The plate should have a ribbed or domed design to increase rigidity and prevent bending under high pressure. Standard sizes usually range from 100x100mm to 120x120mm with a thickness of 8mm to 12mm. Ensure the center hole diameter is precisely calibrated (e.g., 18mm for a 15/17mm tie rod) to prevent eccentric loading which could lead to formwork failure.

These plates are primarily used in concrete formwork systems, bridge engineering, and tunneling. The primary function is to distribute the tension load from the tie rod across a larger surface area of the waler or timber beam. For specialized projects, look for swivel washer plates that allow for an angle of up to 15 degrees to accommodate non-perpendicular formwork setups.

Always utilize Trade Assurance services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your payment. Conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) through third-party agencies (like SGS or Intertek) to verify dimensional accuracy, weight per piece, and galvanization quality before the balance payment is released.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate based on raw material index pricing (e.g., current steel market rates) and request tiered pricing for volume increases. For long-term partnerships, ask for customized branding (embossed logos) on the plates, which adds value to your local distribution without significantly increasing costs.

Tie rod washer plates are high-density cargo. Ensure the supplier uses reinforced wooden crates or heavy-duty steel pallets with a maximum weight of 1.5 - 2 tons per unit to prevent packaging collapse during sea freight. Specify seaworthy packaging with VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) bags if the transit time exceeds 30 days to prevent surface oxidation.

Verify the HS Code (typically 731822 or 732690) to check for anti-dumping duties in your specific country. Ensure all Certificate of Origin (CO) documents are accurately prepared to benefit from any existing Free Trade Agreements (FTA), which can significantly reduce import tariffs.
