Mosaic glass candle holder manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize high-silica heat-resistant glass for the base to prevent cracking under high temperatures. The mosaic pieces should be attached using high-strength, non-toxic epoxy resin or specialized glass cement that does not emit odors when heated. Ensure the grout used between glass fragments is waterproof and mold-resistant, especially for items intended for outdoor or bathroom use.

For the US market, products must comply with ASTM F2179 (Standard Specification for Annealed Glass Vessels used in Candles) to ensure thermal shock resistance. For the EU, REACH regulation compliance is essential to ensure that the lead and cadmium content in the glass glazes and pigments are within safe limits. If the holder includes a candle, EN 15493 (Candle Safety) standards apply.

Request samples to inspect the smoothness of the edges; high-quality holders should have no sharp glass protrusions. Check for uniformity in the grouting—there should be no significant air bubbles or gaps. A light-transmission test is also recommended to ensure the colors remain vibrant and the adhesive does not become opaque or yellow over time.

Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services, allowing for custom color patterns, shapes (cylindrical, bowl, or goblet), and branding via laser-etched logos on the base. Buyers can also request customized gift packaging with protective EPE foam inserts to meet retail-ready requirements.

Glassware is highly fragile; therefore, you must mandate 5-layer corrugated outer cartons and individual bubble wrap or molded pulp packaging. Ensure the supplier performs a ISTA 1A Drop Test before dispatch. It is highly recommended to negotiate 1-3% extra units or a 'breakage allowance' in the contract to cover potential transit damage.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume; for mosaic items, labor costs are high, so a 15-20% discount is often achievable when moving from 500 to 2,000 units. Always clarify the Incoterms (typically FOB or CIF) and insist on a 30% deposit / 70% balance against BL copy payment structure to maintain leverage.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. Conduct a factory audit or hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Final Random Inspection (FRI) to verify that the goods match the approved gold sample before the final payment is released.

For large volumes, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical, but ensure the pallets are properly shrink-wrapped and corner-protected. For urgent seasonal stock (e.g., Christmas or Diwali), Air Freight is faster but requires 'Double-Box' packing. Always verify the HS Code (typically 7013.99) to accurately calculate import duties in your destination country.
