Long women sweater manufacturers

For premium quality, prioritize natural fiber blends such as Wool, Cashmere, or Mohair mixed with Nylon or Acrylic to enhance durability and shape retention. Ensure the yarn count is appropriate for the desired weight (e.g., 12-gauge for fine knit, 3-gauge to 5-gauge for chunky styles). Always request a pilling resistance test report (ISO 12945-2) to ensure the sweater maintains a smooth surface after multiple wears.

Products must comply with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 to ensure no harmful chemicals are present. For the US market, verify compliance with CPSIA (especially for lead content in buttons/zippers) and FTC labeling requirements (fiber content, country of origin, and care instructions). For the EU, ensure adherence to REACH regulations regarding Azo dyes and heavy metals.

Focus on the linking and seaming quality; high-end sweaters use fully-fashioned knitting where pieces are joined stitch-by-stitch rather than cut-and-sew. Check for tension consistency across the body and sleeves. Inspect the ribbing at cuffs and hems to ensure they have sufficient Spandex/Elastane content to prevent stretching out over time.

Buyers are increasingly looking for versatile designs such as side slits for ease of movement, oversized silhouettes that double as sweater dresses, and anti-static treatments. Additionally, sustainable options using recycled polyester (rPET) or RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified wool are seeing high demand in European and North American markets.

Always order a pre-production sample (PPS) before the bulk run. Utilize third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or QIMA) to conduct a During Production Check (DUPRO) and a Final Random Inspection (FRI). On platforms like Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site verification of their manufacturing capabilities.

Negotiate based on yarn market prices; if raw material costs are down, unit prices should reflect that. Offer a seasonal forecast to the supplier to secure lower MOQs (Minimum Order Quantities); many factories will reduce MOQ if you use stock yarn colors already available in their warehouse. Aim for a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment against the Bill of Lading (B/L).

For large volumes, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical, typically taking 30-45 days. If you need to hit a specific fashion season launch, consider Sea-Air combined transport. Ensure your supplier provides a detailed packing list with vacuum-sealed packaging to reduce volume weight and protect the knitwear from moisture and mold during transit.

Use Secured Trading Services provided by reputable B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until shipment is confirmed. Avoid using private bank accounts; always pay to the company’s official corporate account verified in the audit report. Ensure the Incoterms (e.g., FOB, CIF, or DDP) are clearly defined in the Proforma Invoice to avoid hidden logistics costs.
