Football grass carpet manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize Pile Height, typically ranging from 40mm to 60mm for professional football fields. The Dtex (linear density) should be between 8,000 and 16,000 to ensure fiber durability and resilience. Additionally, the Stitch Rate (usually 130 to 200 stitches per meter) and Gauge (commonly 5/8 inch or 3/4 inch) directly impact the surface density and player safety.

The most reliable fibers are made of Polyethylene (PE) for softness and skin-friendliness, often blended with Polypropylene (PP) for added thatch support. Look for Monofilament fibers with a reinforced spine (stem), as they offer superior 'spring-back' capability compared to flat fibrillated yarns, ensuring the grass stays upright after heavy use.

For high-level competition, ensure the product meets FIFA Quality or FIFA Quality Pro standards. Essential safety certifications include EN 15330-1 (European standard for synthetic turf) and REACH/RoHS compliance to guarantee the absence of heavy metals (like lead) and harmful chemicals in the yarn and backing.

A high-quality backing usually consists of double or triple layers (PP cloth + Mesh + SBR Latex or PU). Polyurethane (PU) backing is preferred for premium projects because it offers higher tuft withdrawal force, better water resistance, and does not become brittle in extreme cold or hot climates compared to standard SBR latex.

Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek. Specifically, ask for a UV aging test report (minimum 3,000-5,000 hours) to ensure the grass won't fade or disintegrate under intense sunlight. For secure transactions, utilize the Star Direct or Secured Trading services on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are verified.

Artificial grass is heavy and voluminous, typically shipped in 4-meter wide rolls. Ensure your local port can handle 40ft High Cube (HC) containers, which are the most cost-effective for this product. Verify the loading capacity with the supplier; a 40ft HC can usually hold approximately 7,000 to 9,000 square meters of 50mm grass depending on the density.

Negotiate based on Total Project Volume rather than just the unit price per square meter. Ask for spare rolls (1-2% extra) to be included for future repairs and request a 5 to 8-year UV warranty. If purchasing infill materials (SBR granules) and shock pads together, push for a bundled discount of 5-10%.

Check the HS Code (usually 5703.30) for specific import duties and anti-dumping regulations in your region. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin (CO), such as Form E or Form F, to benefit from Free Trade Agreement (FTA) tariff reductions where applicable.
