Prioritize moisture-wicking fabrics such as 100% polyester mesh or interlock knit with a weight of 160-220 GSM. Ensure the material features Dri-FIT or Coolmax technology to facilitate rapid sweat evaporation. For professional-grade durability, look for double-knit construction and reinforced stitching at the armholes and neckline to prevent tearing during high-intensity play.

For bulk B2B orders, sublimation printing is the gold standard as the ink is fused directly into the fabric, preventing peeling, cracking, or fading. If you require a traditional look, tackle twill (sewn-on patches) offers a premium, professional aesthetic. Screen printing is cost-effective for large volumes but may lack the breathability and longevity of sublimation.

Ensure the supplier adheres to ISO 9001 for quality management and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 to guarantee the absence of harmful chemicals. For the US market, verify compliance with CPSIA if targeting youth categories. Crucially, request a detailed size chart (Asian vs. US/EU sizing) as international standards vary significantly; US sizing typically requires a 1-2 size adjustment compared to Asian production templates.

Request samples to test the air permeability of the mesh panels. High-performance jerseys often utilize laser-cut ventilation holes or multi-zone mesh mapping in high-heat areas like the back and underarms. Check for flatlock seams to minimize skin irritation and chafing during movement.

Avoid sourcing jerseys that feature unauthorized NBA/FIBA logos, team trademarks, or player names. Ensure your supplier has the legal right to produce specific designs. When creating custom designs, use original artwork and request a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to protect your proprietary designs from being sold to other buyers.

Focus on tiered pricing based on volume; for example, aim for a 15-25% discount when moving from 100 units to 1,000 units. Negotiate for free pre-production samples for large orders. Always clarify the Incoterms (e.g., FOB or DAP) upfront to avoid hidden logistics costs, and use Trade Resources provided by the platform to verify the supplier's Audit Reports and Gold Member status.

Utilize secure payment systems that offer escrow-like protection. Never wire full payments to personal bank accounts; always use corporate accounts verified by the platform. Implement a staged payment structure: typically 30% deposit and 70% balance payment after a successful third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI).

Textiles are often subject to specific HS Codes (e.g., 6110.30 for synthetic jerseys) and varying tariff rates. Work with a freight forwarder experienced in apparel logistics to ensure correct documentation, such as the Certificate of Origin and Commercial Invoice, to prevent customs delays. For urgent seasonal launches, consider sea-air combined transport to balance cost and speed.
