Baggy shirt manufacturers

When sourcing baggy shirts, fabric choice is paramount for achieving the desired 'drape.' Prioritize 100% heavyweight cotton (240-300 GSM) for a structured streetwear look, or linen blends for breathable, summer-style oversized shirts. Ensure the fabric has undergone pre-shrunk treatment to prevent significant size changes after washing, and verify colorfastness ratings of Grade 4 or higher to avoid fading in dark-colored garments.

A true baggy shirt is not just a larger size; it requires specific pattern engineering. Look for dropped shoulder seams, widened armholes, and a straight-cut hem. Request a detailed size chart and ensure the tolerance level is within ±1.5cm. For high-end streetwear, specify double-needle stitching at the neckline and cuffs to maintain shape and prevent stretching over time.

Ensure all products comply with the REACH regulation (EU) or CPSIA (US) regarding lead content and harmful dyes. If you are targeting eco-conscious markets, prioritize suppliers with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 or GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certifications. Always confirm that care labels are accurate and meet the legal requirements of the destination country.

Calculate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by factoring in the unit price, shipping, and import duties. For baggy shirts, bulk discounts typically start at 500 pieces, where you can negotiate a 15-25% price reduction. To optimize costs, consider sea freight for orders over 100kg, as the volume-to-weight ratio of oversized clothing can make air express prohibitively expensive.

The primary risks include size discrepancy (Asian vs. Western sizing) and material substitution. To mitigate these, always order a pre-production sample and use a third-party inspection service (like V-Trust or QIMA) to perform a 'During Production' or 'Pre-Shipment' check. Ensure the contract specifies that the bulk goods must match the approved sample in weight, feel, and dimensions.

Focus on long-term partnership potential rather than just the first order price. Ask for OEM/ODM customization capabilities if you plan to add private labels. Negotiate for a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment after a successful QC inspection report. For new suppliers, utilize secured payment services provided by the platform to protect your funds until shipment is confirmed.

For large volumes of baggy shirts, FCL (Full Container Load) or LCL (Less than Container Load) sea freight is the most cost-effective. If you are shipping to the US or Europe, consider DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms if you want the supplier to handle all customs formalities and taxes, providing a 'door-to-door' service that simplifies your logistics chain.

Always conduct transactions through verified premium suppliers on Made-in-China.com. If you have custom designs, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before sharing tech packs. Ensure all trade terms (Incoterms 2020) are clearly defined in the Proforma Invoice to avoid disputes regarding insurance and risk transfer points.
