Aluminium clothes rack factory manufacturers

Prioritize 6063-T5 grade aluminium alloy, which offers the best balance of tensile strength and corrosion resistance. Ensure the wall thickness is at least 1.2mm to 1.5mm for heavy-duty racks to prevent bending under load. For outdoor or humid environments, verify that the surface treatment is either anodic oxidation (minimum 10μm thickness) or electrophoretic coating to prevent oxidation and 'white rust'.

Request a static load test report; a high-quality floor-standing rack should support at least 50kg to 100kg without permanent deformation. Check for reinforced joints—preferably using stainless steel screws rather than plastic connectors, as plastic degrades under UV exposure. For folding models, the hinge mechanism must be tested for at least 5,000 opening/closing cycles to ensure long-term durability.

For the European market, ensure the factory complies with REACH regulations regarding chemical substances in coatings. If the rack includes plastic components, they should be BPA-free and UV-stabilized. While there is no specific 'Aluminium Rack' ISO, look for factories with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) audits, which indicate professional manufacturing standards and ethical labor practices.

A top-tier factory should offer custom extrusion profiles, laser-engraved branding, and bespoke packaging (such as mail-order drop-test compliant boxes). Verify if they can provide CAD/SolidWorks drawings for approval before mold opening. Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com often provide modular designs that allow you to mix and match components like wheels, drying wings, or shoe racks.

Always arrange for a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third party (like SGS or Intertek). Specifically, instruct the inspector to perform a salt spray test on samples to verify coating quality and a loading test. Use Secure Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after the Bill of Lading is confirmed and quality matches the agreed-upon sample.

Negotiate based on Aluminium Ingot Price Indices (like the LME or SMM). Since raw material costs fluctuate, ask for a price formula tied to the market rate to ensure transparency. To lower the unit price, consider increasing the order volume to a full container load (FCL), which significantly reduces the per-unit ocean freight and port handling costs compared to LCL (Less than Container Load).

Aluminium is prone to surface scratching and denting during transit. Insist on EPE foam wrapping for every individual pole and double-corrugated 5-layer export cartons. Ensure the factory uses desiccant silica gel packs inside the packaging to prevent moisture buildup during long sea voyages, which can cause 'water staining' on polished aluminium surfaces.

Check if your country imposes anti-dumping duties (AD) or countervailing duties (CVD) on aluminium extrusions from China. To navigate this, work with experienced exporters on Made-in-China.com who can provide the correct HS Code (typically 9403.20 or 7616.99) and necessary Certificates of Origin to help you claim preferential tariff rates under specific trade agreements.
